I was raised with my younger brother, in an imperfect but very loving family home. Due to the personalities and characters of my parents, I learned very on, the importance of being able to express my emotions, not just to be heard but to be fully listened to, which lead me to realise that I was accepted and valued, simply for who I am, not for what I do.
With this in mind, as I matured and worked in different environments, such as bookshops, marketing and nursing, I became aware that no matter what ‘role’’ I was working from, I found that I had an ability to get alongside individuals, to listen support and normalise all that they were struggling with, while celebrating with them in the good times.
I wasn’t fulfilled in any of my previous jobs, so , by the grace of God, and the encouragement of significant others, I embarked on my journey to become a Therapist. Currently, I thrive in working with different clients, accompanying them on their journey of self-understanding, and change. I consider it a privilege to work with clients, creating an atmosphere for healing to take place. I am also aware that fear and anxiety can arise, prior to making the decision to start therapy, as we can feel uncomfortable in our vulnerability.
My aim is to work collaboratively with you to find solutions, which will ultimately enable you to become your own therapist, as you grow in confidence in applying new skills and techniques, to your old ways of thinking and behaving.
